SMS / Text Messaging Policy

Scout (operated by Guroo Consulting, LLC) sends transactional text messages to borrowers and loan officers about an active loan application. Message types include document requests, loan status/milestone updates, and document-upload alerts. Each message links to the Scout login. We do not send marketing or promotional messages on this program.

Consent

Borrowers opt in by checking the SMS box during the loan application; loan officers opt in via a toggle in their Scout settings. Opt-in is optional and consent is not a condition of any loan or service.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by the stage of your loan. You may receive several messages per week during active phases (application, underwriting, closing) and fewer at other times.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. Scout does not charge a fee for SMS notifications.

How to opt out or get help

Reply STOP to any Scout message to unsubscribe; reply HELP for help. You may also turn SMS off in your Scout settings, email help@scoutmyloan.com, or call (470) 404-2410. We honor reply-STOP immediately and other opt-out requests within 10 business days.

Privacy

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your SMS consent or mobile number to any third party for marketing or any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.
